Accessing Your Grad Tools Site

Each UM department, school or college with doctoral degrees administered by Rackham has a Grad Tools site. At least one dissertation support staff member already has access. To determine who that person is or to request access, send email to gradtools@umich.edu.

If you know you already have access, go to your Grad Tools site by logging into CTools.

1. To log into CTools, open http://ctools.umich.edu and then click the Login button in the upper right corner.

2. Type in your UM uniqname and Kerberos password and click Login.

3. Look for a tab along the top of the screen that says "Grad Tools - your department" (e.g., Grad Tools - History). Click on that tab.

4. To see the dissertation checklist and start customizing, click Dissertation Checklist in the left menubar.
